PEP Automotive’s five-day French event exceeds sales targets

The full range of PEP’s used car sales expertise was exported to Paris in December 2012 when we helped Jaguar France and their Parisian dealers to organise a used car sales event stretching over five days. Called Ventes trés Insolites,which literally translates as Very Unusual Sales, this was indeed an unusual and unique event. The challenge was to help dealers to retail a very high volume of used cars before the end of the year, and demanding targets were set. The location created a real talking point - a multi-storey car park which provided us with the facility to display 50 of the 100 available cars at any one time and proved to be an innovative choice of location which certainly attracted the desired attention. Three dealers participated and, with strategic guidance and practical support from PEP, a remarkable 34 units were sold - representing over €2 million of turnover and all the more impressive in a market showing a 19% reduction in car sales volumes in 2012 . The cars sold extended from an XF at €26,000 to an XKR-S at over €100,000. The event also featured the French debut of the PEP/Brandwidth Appraisal App. as well as Touchview - an entirely new, iPad-based stock view facility which enabled the sales team to locate individual cars for customers and show them photographs, specifications and finance offers as they walked around the display. The event eloquently demonstrated the value of these new software applications; having all the information to hand at the moment a customer is most interested and providing sales people with the best opportunity and tools to close a valuable sale.
